His career began in 2000 at the Tokyo office of one of the world's largest design firms, headquartered in San Francisco. Through a wide range of projects — including three years at the firm's US headquarters — he built deep expertise in both design and project management, eventually founding the Commercial Design Department from the ground up upon returning to Japan.
2000年、サンフランシスコに本社を置く世界最大級のデザインファームの東京オフィスからキャリアをスタート。米国本社での3年間を含む各種様々なプロジェクトを経て、帰国後に商業デザイン部門をゼロから立ち上げました。
In 2019, Nagato founded his own design studio, dedicated to working closely with each client to deliver tailored design solutions with care and precision. Finding the optimal balance between aesthetics, functionality, and the human experience that brings a space to life — that is the core of our design philosophy.
